Torq Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2, 2026
Introduction
Eversight Studio LLC (“Eversight Studio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates Torq, a GPS speedometer and driving telemetry app. This privacy policy explains how Torq collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app.
Information Torq Processes
Torq may process the following categories of information:
- Location data, including GPS coordinates, route points, speed, distance, altitude, and timestamps
- Motion and sensor data, including acceleration, gyroscope, barometer, G-force, and related driving signals
- Trip records, route replays, scorecards, charts, records, preferences, and exported trip files
- Device and app information, including a generated device identifier, installation date, region, app version, diagnostics, and crash data
- Subscription information, including product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase or restore status, and related App Store transaction metadata
- Support information you choose to send us, such as your email address and message content
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Record, analyze, save, and display your drives inside Torq
- Generate speedometer, route replay, G-force, cornering, comfort, road quality, and driving score features
- Provide speed-limit context and unit preferences
- Manage Torq Pro subscriptions, trials, purchase restoration, and entitlement status
- Improve app quality, measure feature usage, diagnose crashes, and prevent abuse
- Respond to support requests and communicate about Torq
On-Device Trip Analysis
Torq is designed around on-device trip analysis. Core driving telemetry such as route, speed, motion, barometer, and trip score data is processed on your iPhone for normal app features. Your trip telemetry is not required to leave your device for core analysis unless you export, share, back up, or otherwise transmit it.
Torq may save trip summaries and raw sensor files locally on your device so you can review, replay, manage, or export your drives.
Location, Motion, and Speed Limits
Torq requests location and motion permissions so it can record drives and analyze speed, route, altitude, G-force, cornering, braking, comfort, and road quality. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings.
When speed-limit features are enabled, Torq may send nearby coordinates to a map data service, such as the OpenStreetMap Overpass API, to look up road and speed limit context.
Analytics, Purchases, and Third-Party Services
Torq uses service providers to operate app analytics, crash reporting, subscriptions, purchases, and app measurement. These providers may process device, event, diagnostics, purchase, and attribution data according to their own policies.
- Apple App Store and StoreKit for purchases, subscription billing, refunds, and purchase restoration
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management
- Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for app analytics and crash diagnostics
- Meta/Facebook SDK for app events and measurement, including advertising identifier collection when permitted by your device settings and consent choices
- OpenStreetMap Overpass API for speed-limit and road context lookups
When We Share Information
We may share information:
- With service providers that help us operate Torq
- When you choose to export, share, or send trip data or support messages
- To comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Eversight Studio, or others
- As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets
We do not sell your recorded trip files.
Retention and Controls
Trip data stored by Torq remains on your device unless you export, share, back up, or otherwise transmit it. You can delete app data by using available in-app controls where provided or by deleting the app from your device. Some subscription, analytics, support, and legal records may be retained by us or our service providers as needed to operate Torq, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Children
Torq is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the revision date and provide notice as required by applicable law.
